Students have been learning about the water cycle, and have started to show their learning by using the PicCollage app. Once these presentations are done, we will add them here to show families.

Today we planted bean seeds. The package says that they take 50 days to grow until maturity, putting us at March 22, 2015. We are going to graph how our plants as they grow. Keep checking back as we show their progress! We made our prediction yesterday about whether or not Puxatony Phil would see his shadow. Our classroom would really like spring to return to Michigan! http://www.pennlive.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2016/01/groundhog_day_2016_all_you_eve.html
The above link shows that Puxatony Phil did not see his shadow, and spring is just around the corner! Maybe this is the year that we do not have a winter in Michigan. :) If you have never been, Parent University is a great community resource activity that all parents, grandparents, and educators are welcome to attend. Registration is required because a light breakfast and lunch is provided to all attendees. You also get the chance to win some fabulous door prizes!
Shameless plug- I will be presenting two sessions, one for literacy within the early childhood classroom and another about how parents can foster a love of literacy with their child. If you are attending, make sure to let me know! Mrs. Alley :) Science presentations done on January 19, 2016 We had a Crull Comet Gathering this morning to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. day first thing in the morning. Students from Mrs. Dunn's third grade and Mrs. Fiedler's 5th grade shared student presentations about peace. acceptance, and love toward our fellow man. After hearing their positive words, Ms. Breanna Frantz from the Port Huron Chapter of the NAACP shared a special message with the students, including a spoken word poem she had written. By Brianna J.- we are wrkeing on our ladybug life cycles. we are showing our wrke. We wish everyone a safe, healthy, wonderful Christmas break! Read some good books, play in the snow (if we ever get any!), and have a fantastic time with your family!
See everyone next year! ;) If you have not done so, don't forget to send in a wrapped book for our book exchange on Friday! :)
Starting Monday, November 30th we will have our annual book fair set up in the library. It will be open 8:30 to 3:00 daily (except Friday, December 4th, closing at 2:30).
Books make excellent Christmas gifts for your children, and yourself! Skyward is is a useful tool for parents who like to stay informed of their students progress and grades. Skyward replaces Parent Connect. On Tuesday, December 1st at 3:30, we will have technology specialist Mark Repp in our computer lab to show our parents how to use Skyward to stay in the loop with how their child is doing in school. Please call Mrs.Stank in the Crull office at 984-6504, if you are interested in attending the Skyward presentation. Child care will be provided for your school age children.
